Stafford County Debuts New Online Payment System

Stafford County transitioned to a new online bill-paying system for payments for Utilities and the Treasurer’s Office. The system, Invoice Cloud, is available on Stafford’s website and offers secure and reliable payment options.

One of the major improvements from the old system is the new ability to set up automatic payments for utilities and tax bills right from the Stafford website. As well, users can choose to receive text notifications. There is the ability to pay by text. Payment information is now stored so there is no need to input it every time. Customers may schedule payments in advance, access online invoices and more.

As with any transition to a new system, there can be glitches. During the transition of payment systems this week, there was a problem transferring charges to Utilities accounts from the old system to the new. This affects about 500 residents. The areas affected by the billing error are Falls Run, Carriage Hills, Stafford Lakes II, Kelley Rd, Olde Forge, England Run, Hamlin Hills, Deacon Estates, Woodlawn, Huntington Hills, Leeland Heights, Grafton Village, Brookwood, White Oak, Bridle Lake Estates, Spring Valley Townhomes, Jefferson Townhomes, Hickory Ridge, Clearview Heights, Heritage Commons, Deacon Rd, Leeland Station, and Spring Valley. Affected residents are asked to check their invoice online or call (540) 658-8616 to verify the amount due on their account.
