Water Testing

The Stafford County Department of Utilities ensures that the drinking water flowing from your tap is safe to drink. Throughout the year, Stafford County Utilities collects hundreds of water samples from across the water system, as required by the state and federal governments. These results can be found in the Water Quality Report online. Physical copies are available upon request at the Stafford County Utilities Customer Service Office (in both English and Español).

If your water quality has changed or you are concerned about your water, please call Customer Service at 540-658-8616 during business hours, and a member of the Utilities staff will contact you. If you are interested in having your water quality tested, contact a certified laboratory that can analyze water at the owner's cost.
